Inside the shop
Everything in here is designed to turn nervous into curious. The room, the chairs, the screens, the people — all of it works together so haircut day feels like an outing, not an ordeal.
Little ones climb into a bright fire-truck or race-car chair instead of a tall grown-up seat. Suddenly haircut day looks a lot more like playtime.
A screen at each station plays your kid's pick — favorite show, favorite movie, favorite song. A happy distraction is half the battle, and we have plenty.
Books, blocks, and quiet toys for the wait and for siblings tagging along. A few minutes of play before the chair turns a nervous kid into a curious one.
Bubbles, fidgets, and a basket of small rewards. Our barbers know all the tricks for wiggly toddlers — and when to pause and let a kid take a breather.
Every barber here actually chose to cut kids' hair. They kneel to eye level, narrate what they're doing, and never rush a child who needs a moment.
Sensory-friendly mornings with softer music, dimmer lights, and no loud blow-dryers — for kids who do better in a calmer room. Just ask when you book.
For the grown-ups
First time bringing your little one for a haircut? Here is everything we get asked most — straight from one parent to another.
A lot of patience. We let your child explore the chair, watch a show, and warm up before any clippers come out — and we narrate every step so nothing is a surprise. Most first-timers settle within a few minutes once they realize the buzzing tickles more than it hurts. If your child needs to pause, climb into your lap, or come back another day, that is completely fine. The goal is a happy memory, not a perfect haircut on the first try.
Everyone, but our whole shop is built around kids — from first-haircut babies through teens. Grown-ups are welcome too, especially for a Daddy-&-Me or family combo, so the whole household can knock out haircut day in one stop.
Yes. We hold calmer, sensory-friendly hours on select mornings with softer music, lower lighting, and no loud blow-dryers. They are perfect for kids who get overwhelmed by noise and bustle. Let us know when you book and we will place you in a quieter slot and pair you with a barber who is great with sensitive kiddos.
Both work. Weekday mornings and early afternoons are usually quick for walk-ins. Saturdays and after-school hours fill up fast, so booking ahead is the safest way to skip the wait with a restless little one. First-Cut Keepsake and Daddy-&-Me appointments are always best reserved so we can set aside extra time.
A relaxed Cub Cut is usually quick once your child is settled, but we never put a stopwatch on it. We build in extra time for first-timers and nervous kids so no one feels rushed. If your child needs three short breaks and a bubble intermission, that is part of the plan — and the price stays the same.
Totally normal, and we have seen it all. Tears do not mean we failed — they just mean your kid is little. Our barbers work in short, calm bursts, use distractions, and know how to finish a safe, even cut even with a wiggly client. If it truly is not the day, we will reschedule with no hard feelings and no charge for an unfinished cut.
Book a chair
Tell us a little about your kiddo and we will save the right chair, the right time, and a barber who is great with their age. Walk in any time during shop hours, too — we will fit you in between appointments.
