Ocean Beach · San Diego
Brewed by the bay. Poured the same day.
A neighborhood taproom in Ocean Beach pouring fresh, small-batch beer made a few steps from the bar. Rotating taps, no flagship ego — just honest craft beer, a sunny patio, and whatever food truck is parked out front tonight.
On tap now
What's pouring this week.
A snapshot of the current lineup. Because we brew in small batches, the board changes often — favorites tap out and new experiments take their place.

What to bring
- A clean, empty growler — rinse it well, no soap residue. We'll sanitize before filling.
- No growler? We sell branded ones at the bar, ready to fill.
- Crowlers need no prep — we seal a fresh can for you on the spot.
To-go rules
- Must be 21+ with valid ID. All fills are sealed for transport.
- Keep fills sealed and out of reach of the driver until you're home.
- Drink growlers within a few days of opening; crowlers keep longer unopened.
About the brewery
New brewery. Old-fashioned approach.
Lowtide started the way a lot of good things in Ocean Beach do — with a couple of friends, a garage full of equipment, and far too many opinions about hops.
We are a brand-new production brewery and taproom, opening in OB. Everything we pour is made on the small system you can see behind the bar, in batches small enough that the lineup is always changing. We are not chasing a flagship or a trophy wall. We are chasing the beer we actually want to drink — clean West Coast IPAs, honest lagers, and the occasional weird experiment that may or may not survive to a second batch. If you have feedback, the brewers are usually around. Tell us what you think. That is how this gets better.
Founded by two longtime homebrewers who finally ran out of excuses.
