Why you got an email from me

I'm Donovan Crader — a freelance web developer based in San Diego, California. I'm one person, not an agency or a call center. I build and fix websites for small and local businesses, with a focus on making them work for everyone, including people using assistive technology.

I found your business through public listings — the same way a potential customer would. That means public business profiles on Yelp and Google, and your own public website, where your contact email was listed publicly.

I don't buy email lists, I don't access anything private, and I don't collect sensitive personal information. It's just the business contact info you've already chosen to publish.

I reached out because I ran your public website through an accessibility check and found issues that could affect real customers — and that increasingly expose business owners to ADA-related legal complaints.

Things like unreadable color contrast, images without text alternatives, forms that don't work with a screen reader, or buttons you can't reach with a keyboard. These are common, fixable, and easy to miss. My email shares what I found and offers to help — that's it. You're never obligated to reply or to hire me.
